The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law “On the unified state demographic register and identity documents that prove citizenship of Ukraine, identity or special status” re settling the issue of driving licence validity of sample forms approved by the authorities of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

According to the document, driving licences that were issued using a sample form approved by the executive authorities of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, can be replaced with a licence of a new sample at the wish of the owner and in cases stipulated by the current legislation.

Respective bill is registered under No. 2633-1.
